The Product Manager is responsible for working skillfully across the organization and managing stakeholders to produce
Solution Vision, which entails defining :
o what we are solving for
o end-to-end user / customer journey or lifecycle
o personas, their skills and needs
o high level outline of a solution that addresses their needs
Solution Intent (architecture), which entails defining :
o nomenclature for data and capabilities required to meet business objectives, this is critical to establish common language across business and technology
o overall non-functional requirements that are key metrics required for new system to capture and track
o target operating model (business, operations) that complement evolution in systems
o Defining requirements for API and data flow
Program Increment planning and leadership
o Roadmap
o Efficient implementation
o Feature planning
o Dependency planning
o Metrics definition
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Communicate effectively - both verbally and written - with technology and business partners to include strong discussion, debate and listening skills and the ability to look beyond obvious answers to understand impacts.
Creatively design workshops and user sessions by identifying suitable participants, being clear about outcomes and approach (interviews, online whiteboarding, surveys, card sorting, etc.)
Ability to empathically understand and articulate user needs
Analyze data gathered through user / stakeholder interactions and apply design thinking to draw out goals / business needs / problem statement / opportunity to be addressed, workflows / user journeys, personas and high level solution outline
Work collaboratively with product and development team to draw out solution intent with capability roadmap and milestones
Clearly understand and articulate dependencies that will influence sequencing of development
Work collaboratively with business and operations stakeholders to draw out target operating model as systems evolve
Effectively manage stakeholder relationships through polished communication and follow-through
Effective written communication through solution inception, vision and intent documents
Lead and influence cross-functional teams.
Provide consultation and ensure continuity with product and development teams on solution.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Master’s degree required
A minimum of 15 years of experience in Finance / Asset Management, Strategy, Business Analysis or System analysis
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience leading and directing others to achieve measurable results.
Demonstrated ability to articulate customized solutions to meet business requirements
Advanced experience working with Scaled Agile / Agile / Lean / Kanban software development processes
Advanced skills using a variety of tools to document workflows and data mapping including but not limited to Excel, SQL and Visio
Understanding of analysis and artifact goals throughout the solution lifecycle
Ability to learn quickly and work in a changing environment and under tight deadlines
Ability to independently manage personal timelines and meet tight deadlines
Ability to successfully manage and coordinate simultaneous project deliverables across groups and teams
Strong experience with SQL, Excel, Visio, Balsamiq, Jira, Tableau, Confluence
Strong experience in financial industry
