Contract Specialist

Pay Rate : $ 25 / hour

Work Type : On-site

Location : Houston, TX

Hours : 8 : 00 5 : 00 PM, Mon-Fri

Join an established higher education organization in Houston, TX where you will act as a liaison between departments to initiate renewal actions on current contracts, memorandums of agreement, inter-local agreements, and / or licensing agreements under the supervision of leadership.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop, implement, and maintain an accurate, district-wide contract tracking and management system using Bonfire.
  • Prepare and distribute reports and statistical data to necessary parties to facilitate the planning and maintenance of accurate contract records and files.
  • Identify contracts with spend caps, determine the budget, coordinate with clients / suppliers, and obtain vendor performance forms, draft extensions, renewals, and amendments.

List Qualification or Requirements :

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, law, or a related field is required.
  • Five (5) years of experience in contract management or a related field is highly preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced writing and reading comprehensive skills are required.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and customer service skills are highly preferred.
