Scope of Position
As Plant Manager, you'll have responsibility for the day-to-day management of a new cutting-edge, 75k sq. ft. CPG food manufacturing facility, driving excellence and efficiency every step of the way.

Responsibilities
Operational Management :
Manage the plant including : production, sanitation, quality, warehouse, engineering and maintenance teams
Develop plans, budget goals and goals to ensure business objectives are met
Determine necessary resources (workforce, raw materials, CAPEX, etc.)
Reviews project budgets to determine if they are feasible based on the scope of work involved
Review and analyze relevant reports to guide business decisions around safety, production, maintenance and quality
Provide leadership and training to accomplish company objectives
Champion safety and ensure all unsafe acts and unsafe working conditions are addressed to completion
Cultivate a culture of ownership, discipline and safety
Cross-Functional Collaboration :
Liaise with other managers to formulate objectives and understand requirements
R&D : Works closely with the R&D team to ensure new product developments are seamlessly integrated into production, coordinating trials and follow-up actions
Supply Chain & Logistics : Ensure raw materials and supplies are available for uninterrupted production by coordinating with the supply chain team
Sales & S&OP Teams : Align production schedules with forecasts and marketing campaigns to meet market demand. Provide operational insights to support marketing initiatives and new product launches (and address customer service issues?)
Talent & Culture (HR) : Partner with Talent & Culture for effective workforce planning, recruitment, employee development programs, employee relations and corrective actions
Leadership & Team Management :
Manage a group of 5 managers (direct), 5 supervisors and 100+ technicians (indirect), operating with transparent and accountable feedback
Ensure supervisors manage their teams efficiently and in accordance with departmental goals and OKRs
Meet with direct reports on a regular basis and conducts performance evaluations
Foster a positive and productive work environment by putting people first and encouraging teamwork
Provide leadership and direction to employees, ensuring clear communication of goals and expectations
Remain calm and effective under pressure, particularly during production issues or emergencies
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Industrial Management or related field preferred, but not required (depending on experience)
10+ years of experience in food manufacturing, with a focus on consumer packaged goods
7+ years managerial experience
Strong background in SQF / BRC, FDA, and GMP compliance
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to stay calm and make sound decisions under pressure
Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and use data to drive decisions
Strong computer skills in either MS Office or Google Suite (Google preferred, can train)
Lean Manufacturing, ISO, Six Sigma - desired, not required
