RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Work with the Plant Manager to ensure compliance with all regulations and prepare necessary permits.
- Guide plant staff through meetings, emails, and direct interactions to meet performance targets.
- Manage plant costs by analyzing financial documents and recommending cost-reduction strategies, with final decisions made in consultation with Plant and General Managers.
- Assist in recruiting, training, and managing staff, including making recommendations for discipline and termination.
- Enforce company policies and safety standards, including quality control and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee daily plant operations to ensure efficiency and a clean working environment.
- Investigate and resolve production issues, keeping senior management informed of significant problems.
- Coordinate plant maintenance, schedule preventive downtime, and handle major repairs in consultation with management.
- Manage labor force scheduling, timekeeping, performance evaluations, and employee development.
- Analyze and review production, yield, payroll, and financial reports to recommend improvements.
- Maintain safety standards and notify management of changes in raw material quality and quantity.
- Communicate professionally and adhere to company procedures and attendance requirements.
- Perform other duties as needed to ensure efficient business operations.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role
- 3-5 years in an industrial plant environment; rendering experience is beneficial
- Less than 10% travel required
- Knowledge of CMPAF, FSMA, and APPI procedures is advantageous
- Ability to work night shifts
- Basic skills in electrical and plumbing maintenance
- Strong organizational and computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Outlook
- Clear and proficient communication in English; additional language skills are a plus
