Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Communication Specialist. In this role, the Communications Specialist supports the Sala Institute for Child and Family Centered Care by building and maintaining relationships with internal partners in Development, Marketing and Communications, and with Sala and children’s hospital donors to execute ongoing Sala-related administrative priorities. This role requires strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills. The Specialist is responsible for planning and implementing the Sala Institute external communications strategy, acting as the primary liaison between Sala Institute and communications, marketing, and development partners, supporting Sala Institute fundraising and promotional events, and disseminating Sala work and updates to various audiences (including children’s donors and the broader community of children’s hospital stakeholders). The role fosters collaborative relationships and works within a fast-paced, complex organizational structure, managing competing project dependencies and stakeholder relationships, and ensuring timely and effective communication with the team and key stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications
To qualify you must have a minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in communications, marketing / promotional work, donor relations, and working in a healthcare setting; strong interpersonal relationship skills; action-oriented with experience managing aggressive deadlines; effective problem-solving skills; strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to present to target audiences; and the ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Salary : The salary range for the role is $67,771.14 - $116,904.64 annually, with actual salaries determined by experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
