Do you have a special curiosity about cardiac patients? Then the Southdale Heart Center may be the right unit for you! This lively and challenging 29 bed cardiac telemetry unit cares for patients with a variety of diagnosis.

This is a fast paced unit with a complex patient population and many learning opportunities. Our team cares for a variety of cardiac patients including Heart Failure, Cardiomyopathy, Acute Coronary Syndrome, Cardiac Dysrhythmias and many other cardiac diagnosis.

We use computerized charting. Candidates with superb customer service and a positive demeanor will be considered for this position.

This position is 72 hours per pay period, day shift, 12 hour shifts (7am-7 : 30 pm) with every third weekend (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).

Responsibilities Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s).

The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act.

The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate

Qualifications

Required Qualifications :

• MN RN License
• BLS for Health Care Providers
• 2 years of current RN Cardiac / Heart Center experience
• Willing to train to charge RN within 6 months of start date

Preferred qualifications :

• ACLS
• Demonstrate the ability to work under stress in a variety of situations.
• Excellent customer service and communication.
• Ability to perform nursing duties required for assigned clinical setting.
• Attention to detail
• Ability to address problems effectively
