About the Role

We are looking for an experienced UX Manager who is passionate about creating intuitive and compelling user experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UX design, a proven track record of leading successful UX initiatives, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

As the UX Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of UX design, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, and championing user-centric design principles throughout the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of UX designers, providing guidance, support, and feedback to foster growth and excellence in UX design.
  • Define and drive the overall UX strategy and vision for our products, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into intuitive and engaging user experiences.
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitive analysis to inform design decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop wireframes, prototypes, and design mockups to communicate design concepts and user flows effectively.
  • Establish and maintain design standards, patterns, and guidelines to ensure consistency and coherence across our product portfolio.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UX design, and leverage this knowledge to drive innovation and excellence in our products.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in UX design within a startup SaaS environment, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of SaaS UX design projects and demonstrated expertise in user-centered design principles.
  • Experience with design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma is required.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Prior experience in a startup environment.
  • Fluency or familiarity with technical concepts to effectively collaborate with engineers by speaking a common language across both disciplines.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience working on AI based solutions - working closely with Engineering and Data Science teams to take complex technical challenges and distill them down to simple understandable patterns and concepts.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and experience working in a two or three week sprint cadence.
  • Familiarity with technical concepts like APIs, Databases, and the differences between frontend and backend elements of a solution.

$160,000 - $200,000 a year

The pay range for this position is $160,000-$200,000 plus bonus and equity. However, base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and location.
