Siemens Smart Infrastructure R&D Team is looking for an Electronics Hardware Developer to join their Peachtree Corners, GA location.
Join our team as we together explore emerging technologies and state-of-the-art designs to create safe, intelligent, and efficient next generation electrical circuit protection and distribution.
We are looking for result-oriented electrical engineers with design experience in power electronics, entrepreneur spirit and passion for new technologies.
As the Electronics Hardware Hardware Developer, you will :
- Develop electrical prototypes for forward-looking product concepts in the field of circuit protection and power distribution.
- Design, build, and test analog and digital circuitry in applications, such as power electronics and power supplies.
- Optimize designs for electrical safety products with high production volume.
- Follow latest industry trends and development in power electronics and its related components for future product realization.
- Work closely with all engineering disciplines including software / firmware, electrical hardware, mechanical, project management, verification and validation engineers and quality personnel to verify and validate prototypes / products.
You will make impact if you have the following qualifications :
Basic Qualifications :
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, or related discipline is required. Advanced degree (Master’s / PhD degree) can be substituted for industry experience.
- 8 10+ years of experience with the following : Developing electrical hardware, including analog and digital designs.Background in power electronics and related topics, such as EMI / EMC, power dissipations, packaging and so on.
Developing prototypes / products in demanding, fast-paced environment.Working with one or more electrical engineering design tools is required.
Working with common electronics laboratory equipment is required.Strong hands-on skills and capabilities to build prototypes are required.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to produce results with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Familiar with electrical safety products, such as circuit breakers.
- Ability to work with multiple projects. Familiarity with Agile methodology preferred.
- Experience with microprocessor-based embedded system designs.
- Experience developing applications using wireless IoT Network Protocols such as Bluetooth, BLE, Zigbee and Wifi.
- Knowledge and Experience using MATLAB / SIMULINK is a bonus and converting analytical results into efficient product design.
- Experience with new product introduction to manufacturing.
- Basic coding skills is a plus.
- Good oral and writing communication skills. Good documentation skills.
