We have a direct hire opening for a Sales and Accounting Coordinator in Richmond at a commercial bakery that specializes in brioche, strawberry and chocolate-filled brioche rolls, croissants, puff pastries, French macarons, éclairs, cream puffs, palmiers, and more.
These products are crafted for retail stores and wholesale customers across the country.
- In this role, manage customer accounts by overseeing accounts receivable tasks such as processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and following up on collections.
- As you gain more knowledge of the company's products and customer needs, you'll take on pricing new items and completing bids for business opportunities that contribute to the bakery's growth.
- Also manage the company's regional sales budget by conducting variance analysis to identify gaps between the forecasted and actual budget, which helps determine if financial goals were met and assesses the accuracy of the budget.
- Over time, you'll also build relationships with clients by selling bakery and dessert products over the phone and by email.

Schedule and Salary Information :
- 1st shift : 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday ( They can accommodate an earlier start time of 6 : 30 am if needed )
- Pay : $28 - $31 / hour

Job Duties of the Sales and Accounting Coordinator :
- Serve as a key point of contact between customers and the company, handle inquires, and ensure customer satisfaction
- Manage customer accounts by overseeing accounts receivable tasks such as processing invoices, updating databases, following up on collections, resolving customer issues, and managing deductions
- Conduct variance analysis to identify differences between forecasted and actual budgets, report on expenses, and propose action plans to address any gaps
- Use financial insights to develop sales objectives and action plans that fit the company's strategy and make adjustments as needed
- Schedule and coordinate monthly customer review meetings to keep all departments updated on customer performance, orders, and service delivery
- Report regularly on customer needs, issues, and preferences to the Sales Manager and other departments
- Make sure sales agreements align with legal requirements and customer expectations
- Build relationships with customers by learning to sell bakery and dessert products over the phone and by email
- Assist with tasks that drive business growth and ensure smooth operations across departments
- Collaborate with the Inside Sales Manager, Sales Managers, Marketing, and Logistics departments to achieve company goals and improve processes
Job Requirements of the Sales and Accounting Coordinator :
- 3 years of experience in finance or accounting is preferred to support account reconciliation and financial planning
- Strong multitasking, prioritization, and time management skills
- Build relationships with new clients and customers with established contracts
- Ability to drive sales results by using insights from market trends, customer feedback, or performance data
- Develop actionable strategies or solutions based on your analysis
- Strong listening and presentation skills
