Social Services Case Manager - Homeless Program
Openwork is currently assisting Harris County in their search to fill a Case Manager position serving the Homeless.
Grant Funded Temporary (could turn to permanent after 60 days)
In this role you will use your own vehicle working in the field. This includes conducting home visits in high risk areas, shelters and homeless encampments.
Prefer some HMIS experience and healthy boundaries at work and retain information provided and apply to our work.
You will determine eligibility for government grant programs to assist homeless. Case load may include clients with mental health issues, criminal background, substance abuse and or youth that have aged out of foster care.
Qualifications for the Case Manager :
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Criminal Justice or Social Work
- Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required
- Conflict resolution, team work and cultural sensitivity
- Time management and decision making skills
- Good oral and written communication skills
