Yona Solutions is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate must have robust data, analytical and organizational skills, and excellent customer service skills to internal and external customers while demonstrating strict confidentiality with all team members.

In this foundational role, you'll coverall areas of accounting, oversee the weekly vendor payment process and help manage and improve credit card expense reports.

This role is onsite 4 days per week and remote 1 day per week.

SHIFT AND HOURS

Work 8 hours a day, between 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 30 PM. Some special projects or deadlines may require some occasional overtime.

SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Staff Accountant reports directly to the Controller and is responsible for accounting tasks including but not limited to the following :

• Reconciling bank accounts
• Importing / entering daily bank activity
• Running weekly A / P reports for bill payments
• Generating ACH files to pay vendors
• Reconciling and monitoring credit card activity
• Entering intercompany & accrual journal entries
• Updating reconciliation schedules
• Preparation & review of various weekly & monthly financial reports
• Other month-end close tasks
• Ordering credit cards and setting up Concur accounts
• Depositing checks
• Entering bills in multiple bill platforms
• Requesting & reconciling vendor statements
• Corresponding with vendors
• Assisting with entering and tracking A / R invoices
• Completing other tasks as assigned by the Controller or Director of Finance

REQUIREMENTS

Some requirements for this position include :

• Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience
• Advanced Excel skills are desired; moderate skills are required
• Ability to work effectively across the organization while maintaining good communications between accounting and all other functional departments
• NetSuite experience is a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, rapidly growing, entrepreneurial environment
• Excellent attention to detail
• Self-Starter, highly motivated, flexible team player
• Strong work ethic
