PAY TRANSPARENCY : USD Starting Range $55,000 - $95,000 / year. Pay is commensurate with experience.

  • Have you achieved a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university focusing on quality engineering or a related engineering discipline coupled with at least (3-5) years or more of related work experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, Test Engineer, Quality Analyst, Supplier Quality Engineer (or a similar quality assurance specialty engineering role)?
  • In the field of advanced electronics manufacturing, have you mastered the ability to implement quality control measures throughout the product development and manufacturing lifecycles, analyze data, introduce effective corrective and preventative corrective action plans, drive process improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that products meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction?

This position reports to the Vice-President of Operations. Unlike many organizations where this role is strictly focused on meeting daily productivity goals, the Quality Assurance Engineer at Bliley is expected to be a fully engaged business partner and change agent with a mindset focused on producing results that align with the company’s strategic goals and objectives.

What that means is that in addition to meeting productivity goals, we expect the Quality Assurance Engineer to collaborate with others to improve the company in its entirety.

Examples of such duties include but are not limited to :

  • Participating in reviewing contractual obligations, customer specifications, work & material orders, and other documents to ensure product designs are manufacturable and meet product quality requirements, standards, and specifications.
  • Using statistical techniques and tools to analyze data, identify trends or patterns that could impact quality and propose / implement effective proactive measures to maintain process stability and control.
  • Troubleshooting and analyzing the state of all in-process and finished work to identify defects and determine the root cause(s) for quality issues;

propose / implement appropriate, timely, cost-effective corrective actions and continuous process improvements and verify the effectiveness of any change.

  • Conducting regular inspections, documenting results, and proposing improvements to establish and ensure gold-standard quality compliance with customer specifications and / or regulatory requirements, and safety practices, per the company’s Quality Assurance (QA) policies and procedures.
  • Managing all activities associated with the Material Review Board (MRB), Failure Review Board (FRB), and Nonconformance Reporting.
  • Establishing and maintaining the company’s Quality Management System (QMS); this includes creating, implementing, evaluating, and improving audit processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Regularly communicating with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., other team members, customers, contractors, vendors, etc.
  • to ensure that documentation reports comply with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements; identifying the need for any new process, procedure, and / or corrective action related to the manufacturing process;

then following through to ensure that any new / different task / procedure / process is thoroughly tested and well-documented.

Performing other duties as assigned.

Other Considerations :

The job is primarily performed indoors in a traditional office setting; the individual is constantly required to talk, hear, stand, or sit for extended periods while using a computer, telephone, or other productivity devices to communicate with other personnel and conduct business.

While performing the duties of this job, the individual is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The individual frequently uses their hands to finger, handle, feel, or operate objects and computer keyboards.

The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch or crawl, squat, turn / twist, and smell.

The individual must frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 5 pounds and / or occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 35 pounds.

On a frequent and routine basis, this job also requires the individual to be physically present in a manufacturing area to communicate with others and conduct business.

The noise levels in the facility can also vary widely in different regions and specific workspace restrictions are also possible.

Occasional sitting, standing, moving forward / back / side-to-side, and working around machinery and moving parts is possible;

exposure to electrical currents, vibrations, fumes, odors, dust, gases, chemicals, oils, sealants, solvents, and other compounds is possible.

Site conditions will dictate using proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including eye, hearing, respiratory protection, protective smock, steel toe shoes, gloves, etc.
