Systematix is currently looking for a Junior Technical Analyst to support a diverse global IT Operations network, for one of the world’s leaders in Life Sciences technologies.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Our client is one of the world’s leading Life Sciences, with offices around the globe. Working as Infrastrucutre Operations Analyst for the Client technologies division, you will be responsible for providing support for l IT Operations including service desk, system administration, development, security and support of all relevant IT infrastructure, systems and applications.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES :

Providing user and administrative support for IT systems, applications, and Infrastructure.

  • Providing technical guidance to users for IT-related issues and queries.
  • Performing maintenance and troubleshooting of all relevant hardware, software, and systems.
  • Performing routine IT operation tasks (ex : on-site equipment checks)
  • Configuration, installation & deployment of IT equipment and related peripherals.
  • Ensuring appropriate IT-related procedures are enforced.
  • Developing a working knowledge of department-specific applications.
  • Logging into and using an ITSM Service Desk system to record all support activities through incidents.
  • Contributing to meeting the departmental key performance indicators.

ABOUT THE QUALIFICATIONS :

  • CompTIA A+ Certification or equivalent is a strong asset.
  • 1+ years’ experience in providing end-user desktop support.
  • 1+ years’ experience with PC applications / operating systems / hardware.
  • Good knowledge of IT hardware and associated peripherals.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft operating system and Office applications.
  • Ability to use technical documentation and diagnostic tools to solve hardware and software problems.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Sound judgment, strong analytical skills, follow-up, and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a 6-month onsite contract role to be performed in the San Jose, California area.
