Goodwin is currently seeking a dynamic Client Development Manager to join our team in either Boston, New York, San Francisco, Santa Monica, Silicon Valley, or Washington DC.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping our Real Estate story, developing effective market strategies, supporting client growth, and executing impactful thought leadership initiatives that communicate our value proposition to Real Estate clients and markets.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven ability to align business development and marketing initiatives with sector-specific and client-focused strategies.

Key responsibilities include providing strategic support for pitches, planning and executing campaigns, supporting client relationship-building initiatives and managing stakeholder relationships.

Additionally, you will oversee content marketing efforts, synthesize market and company research, and drive social media engagement.

What You Will Do :

Strategic Client Development :

Shape overall real estate story that connects practice areas to create a true market differentiator.

Lead client development discussions during real estate practice group meetings to explore relationship building, market trends, and insights, and to initiate lead generation efforts.

Enhance and maintain client development and marketing capabilities to foster growth within the Real Estate practice :

Develop and maintain Real Estate pitch materials to effectively convey value propositions.

Keep Real Estate website pages up-to-date to ensure relevance and engagement.

Organize ROI-driven events to cultivate client relationships and showcase expertise.

Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance brand visibility, engagement, and growth across multiple platforms

Provide one-on-one business development coaching to attorneys.

Collaborate with the Communications team to implement public relations strategies for positive media exposure, thought leadership pieces and campaigns in the Real Estate sector.

Pitch Support and Execution :

Manage and improve process around pitches and proposals and collaborate with attorneys on content drafting and presentation preparation.

Coach and prepare Real Estate partners in delivering strategic, in-person, or virtual pitches, utilizing our established best practices.

Ensure clear communication of our unique value propositions for Real Estate capabilities.

Maintain up-to-date attorney experience and client information within Goodwin's experience database and client relationship system.

Initiative Development and Execution :

Develop and implement targeted client initiatives to forge new connections and nurture existing client relationships.

Collaborate with partners to develop and execute business development initiatives that align with Real Estate practice goals.

Demonstrate strategic thinking across initiatives to ensure they drive tangible results.

Track results and provide updates on business development activities within the Real Estate practice for relevant initiatives.

Participate in cross-business unit (BU) and cross-geography initiatives, with a specific focus on Real Estate.

Data Analysis and Client Targeting :

Analyze market data and industry trends to identify potential clients for targeted pursuits.

Provide strategic recommendations to optimize client targeting efforts and maximize business development opportunities.

Stay abreast of industry developments and emerging trends to inform client targeting strategies and enhance market positioning.

Budget Management :

Support the annual Real Estate Client Development budgeting process.

Assist in the oversight and management of spend requests, spend tracking and measurement of ROI on BD activities.

Who You Are :

Capable of thinking strategically across various business dimensions, contributing to the overall strategic direction of the Real Estate group.

Proven ability to take the lead in developing and executing business development initiatives, ensuring successful outcomes.

Adept at analyzing data to inform client targeting strategies and make informed business decisions.

Demonstrates a client-centric approach, understanding client needs, and applying innovative solutions to enhance client relationships.

Proficient in creating and running client events, fostering opportunities for relationship-building and business development.

6+ years of progressive experience in marketing and business development for service providers.

Previous experience in the legal industry with a focus on the Real Estate sector.

Some managerial experience preferred.

Minimum BA, BS, or equivalent degree.

Proven track record in client development and business development roles.

Strong strategic thinking capabilities with the ability to contribute to the development of long-term business strategies.

Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

Proficient in data analysis tools and techniques for targeted client pursuits.
