Gage Lab Calibration Tech - 2nd Shift

Technical Specialist - Gage Lab Calibration - BWX Technologies, Inc. - Barberton, OH
This position is for 2nd shift
Responsibilities include :
- Performs a variety of duties associated with the gage laboratory including but not limited to calibration, adjusting, and maintaining dimensional inspection gaging
- Works with established procedures and instructions, documents calibration results, and maintains both hardcopy and digital records
- Distributes gaging from the lab and stocks and maintains vending systems throughout the facility
- Solicits request for quotes for calibration of equipment from outside sources and coordinates shipment
- Works with the Cribmaster and SAP to maintain records, gage utilization history, and vending machine inventory
- Issues gage recalls for equipment found to be out of calibration
Qualifications / Requirements :
- Minimum of Associates degree and 2 years of experience in a technical field
- 6 years of relevant experience in field may substitute for a degree
- Experience with dimensional inspection or calibration of equipment is preferred
- Familiarity with gage calibration, gage calibration tracking systems, measurement accuracy and uncertainty a plus
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
