We are currently partnered with a leading insurance firm looking to add to their compliance team. The Director of Compliance will lead the compliance program for their health and life insurance sector, ensuring adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.

Compliance Director Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance policies and procedures tailored to health and life insurance regulations.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on the organization; lead efforts to adapt policies and practices accordingly.
  • Conduct regular compliance audits and risk assessments, reporting findings to senior management and the board of directors.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including but not limited to HIPAA, ACA, and NAIC guidelines.
  • Lead training initiatives to educate employees about compliance requirements and best practices.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders on compliance matters.
  • Investigate compliance-related issues and coordinate corrective actions as necessary.
  • Prepare and present compliance reports and updates to executive leadership and the board.
  • Establish and maintain a culture of ethical conduct and compliance throughout the organization.

Compliance Director Qualifications :

Bachelor’s degree in finance, law, business administration, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.

g., CHC, CCEP) preferred.

  • Minimum of 7-+ years of compliance experience in the health and life insurance industry or related financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and standards governing health and life insurance.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing compliance programs and conducting audits.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience managing compliance teams.
