2nd Grade Teacher
Established in 1958, St. Timothy School is a Pre-K through 8th Grade Catholic School, where for over 50 years, we have educated generations of children, instilling in them character, compassion and values for life.

Seeking a full-time 2nd Grade Teacher. Qualified candidates should possess the following :
- a minimum of two years’ experience teaching in grades 1-3
- ability to create a classroom environment favorable to learning and personal growth, which motivates students to develop skills, knowledge and a love for learning
- patient with clear and consistent expectations to promote independence and growth
- ability to evaluate student’s academic, social, and spiritual growth through formative and summative assessments and hold parent-teacher-student conferences when needed
- flexible and positive team player
- skilled in developing lesson plans following common core & state standards which integrate technology *practicing catholic preferred
- ability to create a classroom
- ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing
- ability to work well with others and to be a positive team player
Requirements
Multiple subject teaching credential required. B.A. in education or related field. Master’s Degree preferred. Minimum two years’ experience teaching in grades 1-3.
Preferred candidate should be proficient in using technology to direct instruction and enhance student learning. Preference given to those with experience in responsive classroom and Lucy Calkins Writer’s Workshop.
