Description
Holy Spirit STEM Academy is seeking a dedicated Humanities Teacher for grades K-2 who will also assist in preparing students for their First Communion.
The ideal candidate will integrate faith-based teaching with humanities education to inspire young minds.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Humanities : Develop and deliver engaging lessons in history, literature, and social studies.
Integrate Faith : Incorporate Catholic teachings and values into daily lessons and activities.
First Communion Preparation : Assist in preparing students for First Communion, including teaching religious curriculum and organizing related events.
Assess Student Progress : Regularly evaluate student performance and provide feedback.
Classroom Management : Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Requirements
Education : Bachelor’s degree in Education, Humanities, or related field.
Certification : Valid teaching certification; catechetical certification preferred.
Experience : Prior teaching experience with young children; experience in sacramental preparation is a plus.
Skills : Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range.
