Corporate Paralegal

We are seeking a motivated team member to join a small, dynamic, and growing legal team as a corporate paralegal. The ideal candidate will possess a collaborative and growth-oriented mindset with great attention to detail and experience supporting corporate, transactional, and litigation matters, developing and improving department processes and workflows.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a field of law or related field (completion of a certificate program in paralegal studies is a plus).
  • 3-5 years of experience supporting attorneys, with at least 1-year of in-house experience.
  • Strong organization, problem solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to shift priorities and meet time sensitive deadlines and handle multiple, competing projects.
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and interested in working on a wide range of legal, corporate and compliance matters.
  • Knowledge of legal and general research techniques to support the legal department.
  • Excellent office management, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and experience with contract / data management and e-billing software and video / web conferencing.
  • Excellence in project management processes and software / tools.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the contract lifecycle and requests submitted to the legal team (from intake through contract review, approval, execution, and processing / filing).
  • Automate legal operations management processes for contracts / NDA workflow and management solution, and document management.
  • Organize and manage physical and electronic files.
  • Assist with litigation related tasks, including records / data collection.
  • Manage legal tools and vendors, ensuring alignment with company standards.
  • Review legal invoices for compliance with billing guidelines and manage the invoice approval process for vendors and outside law firms.
  • Assist with maintaining document version control, proofreading, and facilitating contract review and negotiation.
  • Create reports, charts, and spreadsheets as requested.
  • Provide support to Senior Paralegal on various assignments and projects as assigned and assist with streamlining departmental processes and developing training materials.
  • Develop and maintain relationships to facilitate a productive and efficient work environment and provide support to various internal groups across the company.
  • Spearhead ad-hoc and periodic projects, reports, presentation materials, corporate trainings, and communications to further improve the performance of the legal team and overall company.
  • Systematic storage, tracking, and destruction of business documents and records.

We are hiring a critical team member to join the legal team as a Corporate Paralegal who will play a vital role in our company's growth.

The ideal candidate will possess in-house experience in corporate matters, legal department processes, invoicing management, document organization, and building scalable processes.

You will leverage your technical systems knowledge and legal operations experience to implement new technology solutions, scale the legal team, and partner with leaders, managers, and teammates across organizational boundaries and functions.

You will drive strategic projects for the legal team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.

  • This position will enjoy a high degree of autonomy and will be trusted to create new processes, spot and address process gaps, and drive efficiency.
  • The successful candidate will be ready to navigate a growth-oriented, rapidly changing, and sometimes ambiguous environment.

Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons.

The base salary range for this position in Washington is $80,000 - $100,000.
