Accountant / Bookkeeper
LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for an experienced accounting professional for a growing client in Columbus, OH. The accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, and conducting financial analysis to support the company's financial health and decision-making processes.
This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
This position is temp to hire and will pay between $60K and $70K annually.
Responsibilities :
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Prepare and process invoices, receipts, payments, and other financial transactions.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is accurate and complete.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts and monitor actual performance against budget.
- Backup payroll processing when needed.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information and support business operations.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations to auditors.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in bookkeeping and financial reporting.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
