Construction / Fabrication Accounting Manager

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Construction / Fabrication Accounting Manager in Orange County, CA. This role is pivotal for a professional with a strong background in accounting within the commercial mechanical construction or fabrication sectors.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in financial management related to work in progress (WIP) accounting, alongside a proven ability to oversee multiple departmental operations and report directly to senior financial executives.
Responsibilities
- Financial Oversight : Manage all accounting operations related to construction and fabrication projects, including WIP, billing, and revenue recognition.
- Departmental Leadership : Provide leadership and strategic oversight across multiple departments, ensuring efficient collaboration and alignment with corporate financial goals.
- Reporting and Compliance : Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for presentation to the CFO or Controller, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Process Improvement : Implement robust financial processes and controls to enhance accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting and budgeting.
- Team Development : Mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
Qualifications
- Education : Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting.
- Experience : Minimum of five years of experience in accounting within the construction or fabrication sectors, specifically with a commercial mechanical contractor or fabrication company.
Skills :
- Proficient in industry-specific accounting software and systems.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with financial reporting and work in progress (WIP) accounting.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage teams across multiple departments.
