OVERVIEW Sylvia Group, an Alera Group Company is seeking an Commercial Lines Manager to join their Property & Casualty team.

RESPONSIBILITIES HOW YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE : You conduct yourself in accordance with the provisions of the High Performance Team Contract.

You lead by example and actively work to develop internal leaders. You hold periodic meetings with team members to obtain input on issues impacting the agency’s ability to run efficiently and that prevent staff from performing at their highest level.

You assemble and guide the appropriate individuals to assist in developing solutions to these issues. You ensure training objectives are developed for each position within your team and that training goals are met by each team member as appropriate for their position.

You participate in the marketing of new business opportunities to support the achievement of the agency’s revenue goals.

You review carrier books to ensure we are maximizing revenue potential, making changes where appropriate. You ensure plans to achieve agency objectives are implemented and followed through to make sure stated goals are reached.

HOW YOU ARE MEASURED : You are proficient using all the IT programs and resources pertinent to your position and you leverage technology, tools, resources and information to maximize your efficiency and that of other team members.

You meet established deadlines. As the Commercial Lines Manager, you contribute to the retention of Agency accounts by ensuring superior service by team members consistent with Sylvia Group Service Standards.

You are relied upon to proactively manage new business account activity, contributing to the growth of the agency by identifying coverage gaps, making recommendations and marketing coverage that result in new revenue to the agency.

You show initiative and accept additional responsibilities when asked. You show an understanding of how your personal work habits impact the agency’s overall performance.

You are viewed as a team player by your colleagues in that you participate, build connections, coach and mentor others. For projects or tough situations, others would want you on their team.
