We’re partnering with a rapidly growing client—a leader in the design and manufacturing of cutting-edge machinery and systems for material handling processes—to bring on an experienced Structural Engineer to join their expanding team. This high-impact role offers the opportunity to wear multiple hats, contribute across departments, and evolve into a subject matter expert in complex industrial system structures. Key Responsibilities :
- Lead structural engineering efforts for custom heavy industrial systems, including platforms, support structures, vaults, reinforced concrete foundations, and embedded pits.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams—mechanical, electrical, and project management—to ensure seamless integration of structural components within overall system designs.
- Conduct in-depth structural analysis using advanced software tools, from preliminary concepts through detailed final designs.
- Develop and deliver complete construction packages, including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates, for both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Visit job sites to inspect existing infrastructure, assess feasibility, and verify proper installation of structural systems in alignment with design intent.
- Stay current on evolving building codes, safety standards, and engineering best practices to enhance quality and compliance.
- Serve as a technical liaison—interfacing with clients, vendors, and in-house teams to resolve design challenges and align on project goals.
What We're Looking For :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringPE license (Professional Engineer) in at least one U.S. state; NCEES record is a strong plus8–10+ years of structural engineering experience, with a focus on steel and concrete structures in heavy industrial environmentsStrong understanding of structural code compliance and foundation design for large equipmentProficiency in structural design software (e.g., STAAD, RISA, or equivalent)
