Salary : $18-28 / hr
JOB SUMMARY :
The Maintenance Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that facilities are clean and in good
operating condition. Their responsibilities include performing general maintenance and repair
of the building, grounds, and equipment with opportunity for growth. Maintenance assistant
work in a variety of our property locations. Maintenance Assistant will work directly with the
Maintenance Manager, who will give directions and project requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & EXPECTATIONS :
Perform routine building maintenance duties to include painting, minor electrical repairs,
plumbing, carpentry, and systems maintenance
Maintain interior and exterior of the buildings HVAC, as well as various machinery and
equipment
Reporting maintenance statuses to supervisor, documenting job progress and
completion
Comply with all safety and health regulations
Maintain inventory of maintenance, cleaning, equipment, supplies, and report needs to
supervisor
Respond to emergency calls for maintenance and repairs
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues
Work with and maintain relationships with marina staff, suppliers, and contractors
SKILL & KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS :
Valid South Carolina Driver’s License with a clean driving record
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Tech School certified preferred
2 years relevant experience
Knowledge of electrical and HVAC preferred
Knowledge of boat maintenance preferred
Genuinely serves others with humility and a positive attitude
Self-motivated, displays attention to detail, able to follow directions, and willing to
learn.
Communicate effectively
SCHEDULE :
Hours to be scheduled by Maintenance Manager. Must be available to work weekends and
holidays. Seasonal demands may require extra availability.
