About This Internship
Arch’s 10-week summer internship program offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience in the insurance industry.
It provides challenging learning experiences that serve as a foundation for interns to explore their career choices and to develop professional skills.
Working alongside some of the most talented members of the specialty insurance industry, interns will gain relevant expertise in various aspects of the field, participate in learning activities and receive ongoing feedback.
About This Role
Assist in implementation of User Stories that help the team provide business value to the Arch business departments.
Work within Captiva, the document imaging platform, to classify new documents and extract data from them and FileNet, the document repository used for underwriting insurance and other business functions.
Participate in user stories that may include :
Quality Assurance Functional Testing.
Quality Assurance Automated Regression Testing.
Management of team documentation on SharePoint.
Reporting functionality to help the team with ongoing metrics Classification and OCR Accuracy reporting.
Java development for FileNet customizations and Loan Registration application enhancements.
Angular development for Loan Registration application enhancements.
Net / C# development for Captiva customizations.
Python and Machine Learning.
Qualifications
Actively completing area of study in Management of Information Systems, Computer Science, Information Security Degrees or related program.
Experience with Java, >
net / C# and Python.
Minimum 3.0 GPA or higher.
College level current Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate student.
Entrepreneurial spirit along with the desire to be a continuous learner.
Team player who collaborates effectively.
Self-starter who can work independently and deal effectively with multiple tasks / priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Location & Work Arrangement
The program dates are June 2 - August 8, 2025.
This position is classified as a hybrid position. You will work 2 days onsite and 3 days from home.
This position is in Greensboro, NC.
Timeline
Arch summer internship positions will be posted from August 2024 and will be unposted when filled.
For individuals assigned to or hired to work in Greensboro, NC, the hourly rate is $22-30 as of the time of posting. The breadth in the range exists to accommodate students in specialized programs such as actuarial candidates and graduate students.
Any actual rate offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, along with the education & qualifications of the candidate.
The above range may be modified in the future. Intern position is eligible for select Arch benefits.
