We are seeking a motivated and organized Kitchen Lead to join our team at Sunday to Sunday and oversee the day-to-day operations of our kitchen.

As the Kitchen Lead, you will be responsible for supervising kitchen staff, ensuring the quality and consistency of food preparation, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Team Leadership : Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to cooks, prep staff, and dishwashers.

Ensure team members are performing tasks effectively and efficiently.

Food Preparation : Oversee food preparation, ensuring that dishes are prepared to exacting standards in terms of quality, taste, and presentation.

Menu Execution : Ensure the kitchen team is consistently executing the menu to the specifications set by the Executive Chef or management, including preparation of specials and seasonal dishes.

Quality Control : Monitor all stages of food production, from preparation to plating, to ensure consistency and adherence to food safety standards.

Inventory Management : Assist in monitoring inventory levels, conducting stock checks, and ensuring that kitchen supplies and ingredients are well-stocked and stored properly.

Training and Development : Train new kitchen staff, ensuring they are familiar with recipes, kitchen protocols, and safety standards.

Mentor and coach the team to improve skills and efficiency.

Health and Safety Compliance : Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness in the kitchen.

Collaboration : Work closely with front-of-house management and other departments to ensure smooth service and address any issues promptly.

Qualifications :

  • Proven experience in a kitchen leadership role, such as Sous Chef, Line Cook, or Kitchen Supervisor.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, maintaining a calm and professional demeanor during busy service periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality food.
  • Fine Dining experience preferred
