They are seeking a detail-oriented Sonographer-Mammography to join their team. As a Sonographer-Mammography, you will play a crucial role in the accurate diagnosis and treatment of patients.
Working within a remote team, you will utilize your technical expertise to conduct mammography procedures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Focus :
- Perform mammography imaging procedures according to departmental standards and protocols.
- Adhere to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, ensuring compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulatory standards.
- Demonstrate expertise in limiting patient exposure during imaging procedures.
- Assess patient needs, exercise care, discretion, and judgment, and act in the best interest of the patient.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to obtain pertinent information for diagnosis and treatment management.
- Ensure accurate outpatient coding by assigning appropriate ICD-10-CM and / or CPT-4 codes for mammography procedures.
- Review medical records comprehensively and leverage all available documentation to code diagnoses and procedures effectively.
- Resolve coding challenges and address ADT edits, physician queries, and missing documentation.
- Adhere to industry resources and guidelines to select appropriate diagnoses and procedures accurately.
- Maintain productivity and quality standards for each mammography procedure.
Skill Set :
Graduation from an accredited program in Ultrasound or College-based two-year training program with clinical education in an accredited healthcare setting.
Bachelor’s or Associates degree in Radiologic Technology, related field preferred.
- 2-3 years of experience in mammography imaging preferred.
- Certification in Mammography (ARRT-M) and CPR certification required.
- Strong technical competency and proficiency in mammography scanning techniques.
- Active membership with professional associations related to sonography and mammography.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
