As a Medical Assistant guided by the Center Administrator, your role involves providing administrative support to facilitate efficient operations within the medical facility.

You'll assist Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, and patients with tasks related to patient care coordination, organization, and communication.

The objective is to carry out all tasks with precision, maintaining high standards of quality, and meeting deadlines promptly.

Compensation : Hourly rates range from $20.00 to $23.00, based on experience

Work Schedule : Monday to Friday, from 9 : 00am to 5 : 30pm with some weekend shifts

Responsibilities :

  • Prepare patients for exams and treatment by recording vital signs, conducting patient interviews , a nd documenting basic medical histories.
  • Efficiently triage patients based on urgency and scheduling requirements .
  • Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures, such as administering vaccinations, conducting drug and alcohol tests, giving injections, performing EKGs, and collecting blood samples.
  • Maintain and restock supplies; ensure treatment rooms and medical instruments are sanitized and prepared.
  • Perform front office tasks as necessary, including welcoming pat ients, managing check in and check out process, handling phone calls and patient scheduling .
  • Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of medical records and updates to insurance reports.
  • Coordinate hospital admissions and laboratory services as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current CPR certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Strong organizational and planning abilities.
  • Socially perceptive and service oriented.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.
