Job Summary
The HRIS Data Analyst, Senior maintains the organization's HRIS applications and modules within multiple HRIS systems while the organization transitions to Workday.
Core areas of responsibility include systems administration, reporting, and process improvement. Serves as SME for providing insights to improve system efficiency and collaborate with external vendors and consultants as required for system upgrades, enhancement, and support.
Essential Responsibilities
Systems Administration
Partners with Information Services (IS) to ensure data feeds with internal and external systems and vendors perform as expected;
monitors errors and ensures team member and manager access is seamless.
- Serves as lead representative and liaison between People and Culture, IS, external vendors, and other stakeholders for Workday design and implementation projects.
- Assists IS with providing technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to People and Culture HRIS users.
- Collaborates with and bridges communications between IS, Accounting / Payroll and People and Culture to address system inquiries and issues.
- In collaboration with IS, communicates planned and unplanned People and Culture systems outages.
- Assists IS with developing user procedures, guidelines, and documentation.
- Trains People and Culture staff on new processes / functionality.
- Creates job aids and training for new hires, newly promoted managers, and technical partners.
Data Reporting
- Establishes and administers process for reporting intake and approval.
- Generates reports / queries, including writing, maintaining, and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools.
- Develops standard reports for ongoing customer needs.
- Compiles or assists with the acquisition of complex data needs, summaries, and reports for executives and People and Culture staff.
- Meets with all levels of management to discuss and clarify requests for People and Culture data.
- Maintains data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
Process Improvement
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Workday processes and procedures, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency gains while driving alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Stay updated with Workday releases, enhancements, and best practices to ensure optimal system performance and user experience.
- Examines trends in information systems training, materials, and techniques.
- Continuously increases both People and Culture knowledge and Workday application / tools knowledge.
- Participates in user group meetings / conferences.

Experience and / or Education
Required
5 years' experience including data analysis, reporting and ERP / HRIS systems; 3 years' of experience administering an ERP system.
Preferred
- Strong preference for experience implementing Workday within an organization or experience administering the Workday system.
- Workday certifications, specifically in HCM, or related to Compensation, Benefits, Recruitment and Performance Management.
- Experience with data integrations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Understanding of data management fundamentals and reporting, including data structures, integration, stewardship, and governance.
- Understanding of and ability to apply qualitative / quantitative measurement and data collection design principles.
- Familiarity with human resources policies and procedures.
