This is a remote position, although preference is given to candidates in the DMV (DC / MD / VA) metro area. Daily Responsibilities Work and support federal health agencies to develop next-generation analytics and reporting systems to directly impact healthcare quality.
Work and collaborate with business users and stakeholders to understand and gather data requirements. Build critical BI dashboards.
Train business users to use self-service tools (e.g., BI dashboards). Maintain data documentation and definitions. Apply software engineering best practices to analytics code.
Provide clean, transformed data ready for analysis. Requirements Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card (U.S. Permanent Resident) (As mandated by our government client).
Although this position is remote, preference is given to candidates local to the DC / MD / VA metro area. 8-10+ years’ experience as a Data Scientist with strong Business Intelligence, SQL, statistics, and Python knowledge to rapidly turn data into insights.
Must have healthcare domain experience primarily with claims data. Expert skills with SQL and basic statistics Intermediate expertise in Python programming Good coding skills BS / BA degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences, or related IT discipline.
Additional ten (10) years of related professional experience can be substituted for a BS / BA degree. Powerhouse Institute, Inc.
