The impact you will have in this role :
Being a member of the Chief Financial Office the IT Strategic Sourcing Executive is responsible for the development and execution of the company’s overall IT Sourcing strategy (including HW, software, telecom / networking, private cloud, public cloud, and IT professional services).
The Head IT Sourcing has ownership of the sourcing process at DTCC for all IT spend and partners closely with IT leadership to continuously drive value for the organization.
The Head of IT Sourcing will collaborate across the organization with Finance, Legal, Third-Party Risk, HR, Procurement Ops, and various IT collaborators to identify and complete strategic sourcing value and risk mitigation opportunities.
Your Primary Responsibilities :
- Partner with the IT leadership team to create a sourcing strategy that aligns with the needs of the business while meeting financial and operational control objectives.
- Develop and be a great partner with key vendors, fostering strategic partnerships that enable continuous value-delivery.
- Ensure compliance with policy, process, and systems for all IT categories spend.
- Lead the full lifecycle of the strategic sourcing (including RFx), contracting, and procurement workflow.
- Pro-actively handle renewals to drive savings and mitigate business disruptions.
- Evangelize the sourcing and procurement function to ensure business owners understand Sourcing’s value proposition and how to effectively partner with the Sourcing team.
- Develop and lead a value driven QBR process for key IT vendors.
- Leverage spends and contract data to identify savings and efficiency opportunities.
- Drive training and adoption across the organization on the importance of IT Category Management
- Leverage experience to enhance the impact of sourcing levers including spend analysis, RFx tools and templates, contract management, and preferred supplier programs.
- Develop, report on, and analyze KPIs and OKRs to drive a culture of process improvement across the IT sourcing category.
- Lead sourcing projects by identifying clear objectives that consider financial, risk, and operational benefits for DTCC.
- Collaborate with IT Leadership and other key partners to ensure the Sourcing model always meets the changing needs of the organization.
- Continuously develop subject matter expertise via benchmarking / research, industry / peer collaboration, training, and client feedback.
- Lead, mentor, and develop members of the IT sourcing team by providing coaching, feedback, and individual development plans for direct reports.

Qualifications
10-15 years of IT Strategic Sourcing and Category Management at a global organization.
Talents Needed for Success :
- Deep experience and shown success developing RFXs and negotiating HW, software, telecom / networking, private cloud, public cloud, and IT professional services contracts.
- Extensive knowledge of enterprise IT vendors as well as emerging technology providers.
- Outstanding communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex sourcing and contractual concepts into terms that can be understood by business, legal, finance, and risk partners.
- Strong organizational competency with the ability to independently handle contending priorities.
- Comfortable with organization change and transformation.
- Experience supervising a globally dispersed team.
- Experience implementing ground-breaking procurement strategies to enhance value.
- Demonstrated skill in developing category management strategies and related KPI reporting.
- Understanding of key financial, legal, and operational controls required in a heavily regulated organization.
- Client service focused.
- Experience partnering with collaborators to develop SLAs with technology suppliers.
The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations. Actual salary is determined based on the role, location, individual experience, skills, and other considerations .
