Summary :
- Performs all duties of a Clinical Laboratory Assistant II; assists supervisor with the training and coordination of the activities executed by Clinical Laboratory Assistant I and II;
- processes, and routes laboratory testing material to appropriate testing areas and reference laboratories; transcribes, prints, sorts, mails, and faxes laboratory requests and reports;
- handles requests for laboratory reports, specimen tracking, and laboratory requests via phone, email, mail, and other correspondence methods;
assists with the performance of laboratory quality control, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance activities; maintains laboratory supply inventories and processes requests for supply orders.
Salary range for this position is $54,860 - $66,634 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications :
Required Education and Experience
1. Four (4) years of full-time experience as a Clinical Laboratory Assistant I at Roswell Park; or
2. Two (2) years of full-time experience as a Clinical Laboratory Assistant II at Roswell Park; or
3. Bachelor's degree in a healthcare or scientific related field and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in a clinical or research setting requiring the use of medical / laboratory terminology; or
4. Associate's degree in a healthcare or scientific related field and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience in a clinical or research setting requiring the use of medical / laboratory terminology; or
5. High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Diploma and the equivalent of six (6) years of full-time experience in a clinical or research setting requiring the use of medical / laboratory terminology.
