• 6 Shift : Variable (United States of America) Summary : This part-time position processes requests and receives clinical laboratory / clinical research / research specimens within the laboratory sections within department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine;
• accessions, processes, and routes laboratory testing material to the appropriate testing area; transcribes, prints, sorts, mails, and faxes laboratory reports;
• handles requests for laboratory reports, specimen tracking, and laboratory requests via phone, email, mail, and other correspondence methods;

assists with the performance of laboratory quality control, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance activities; maintains laboratory supply inventories and processes requests for supply orders.

The salary range for this position is $19.85 - $24.40 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package. Qualifications : Required Education and Experience

1. Associate's degree in a Healthcare discipline; or

2. Associate's degree and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in a clinical or research setting requiring the use of medical / laboratory terminology; or

3. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and current enrollment in an approved BS program in Clinical Laboratory Technology; or

4. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of two (2) years of full time experience in a clinical or research setting requiring the use of medical / laboratory terminology

NOTE :

Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications

The preferred candidate will have knowledge of medical terminology, experience in a clinical, medical or laboratory setting, proficient in the use of Microsoft office applications and customer service experience.
