They are seeking a Process Safety - Associate Engineer to join their team in Louisiana . This role reports to the Manager, Process Safety and will be responsible for ensuring that operations are conducted safely, efficiently, and effectively.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support process safety management elements such as MOC, PSSR, PHA, building siting, process design.
- Provide support on the communication of process safety risks.
- Day to day support of Process Safety Barrier Health reporting.
- Attend Process Hazard Assessments (PHAs) and Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA) and assist in managing associated action items.
- Assist in the management of process safety event (PSE) investigations.
- Support assessments in the following processes :
- Car sealing
- Procedures - initial start-up and SOP and red line revisions
- Process Safety Events
- Permit to Work
- SIMOPs
- Inhibits / Bypasses
- Safety Critical Element management
- Pre-startup Safety Reviews
- Monitoring process safety metrics and analyzing data to identify trends and outliers.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical / Process or Mechanical Engineering. Based on experience, other Engineering disciplines will be considered.
- 1-3 years of experience working as an Engineer in a process plant environment would be a plus.
- Demonstrated understanding of the fundamentals of process safety.
- Engineering graduates with a demonstrable passion to pursue a career in process safety would be considered.
- Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card in good standing status.
