Position Summary :

Oversees major floor cleaning, refinishing and sanitation of the physical environment of Raleigh General Hospital, meeting performance standards set up for the position.

Completes tasks assigned in a timely manner.Cleans and maintains assigned area.Maintains floor equipment in a clean condition and good working order.

Leads Floor Techs in maintenance of all floor types and carpet.Collects and disposes of trash, linen and infections waste.

Demonstrates flexibility in performance of tasks in all areas of housekeeping.Completes extra assignment, assists with others when workload permits.

Notifies supervisor of maintenance problem and supply needs.Reports to : Director of Environmental Services

Qualifications

Minimum EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent - Preferred Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Minimum Work ExperiencePrior work experience desirable.

Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuing basis, despite frequent interruptions. Ability to stand eight hours daily, kneel, reach easily, climb stairs and ladders, and lift up to fifty pounds overhead on a routine basis.
