About the role :
CLA is looking to hire a Senior Accountant for our Client Accounting and Advisory Services (CAAS) practice supporting our Not-for-Profit industry in St. Louis.
As a Senior Accountant you will :
Support multiple clients, software, and chart of accounts on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
Oversee Staff and manage the accounting function for smaller clients.
Complete account reconciliations ( bank & credit card reconciliations, prepaids, accounts receivable, fixed assets, accounts payable, accruals).
Complete complex account reconciliations (investments, debt, industry specific, etc.).
Prepare, understand and review financial reports (basic to complex).
Perform the review of clients’ General Ledger, cashflow, allocations, etc.
Learn and understand the business / organization operations of the client.
Create process and procedure documentation.
Assist in Special Projects, such as internal audit, due diligence, system selection, and other consulting projects.
What you will need :
2 years of relevant accounting and / or financial experience is required.
Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
Proficiency and aptitude for applicable software (Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, etc).
Thorough technical knowledge of accounting software (Quickbooks, Intacct, Xero, , Expensify).
Thorough understanding of the financial operations of industry specific engagements ( nonprofit, health care, manufacturing, etc).
