Description :
Exciting opportunity in our Energy group for an Intermediate Accounting Clerk to support our Energy Business Operations and Account Management team.
This role requires a customer-focused individual with excellent communication, project management, and analytical skills.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter capable of influencing internal customers, building relationships, and engaging in change efforts.
This position will work a hybrid schedule out of our Inver Grove Heights, MN corporate headquarters.
Responsibilities include supporting the Operations Manager in managing core systems and wholesale operations processing activities, such as rack pricing, forward contracts, term bids, and terminal incentives.
The role also involves troubleshooting customer issues alongside the Energy Account Management team, collaborating with key partners like accounting, supply, and IT to meet objectives and resolve issues, and running daily and monthly product reporting and variance analyses.
Additionally, the Intermediate Accounting Clerk will generate regular and ad hoc data requests for sales teams and senior leaders, collaborate to automate and improve processes and systems, support a strong safety culture by following all safety policies, procedures, and regulations, and perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (required)
- High School Diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in a supply, logistics, pricing, operations, sales, or customer service role
- Demonstrated analytical skill & attention to details
- Exhibits sound business judgment and ability to influence others
Additional Qualifications (Desired)
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, accounting, finance or related field
- Ability to adapt to changing business dynamics
- Experience with Oracle JD Edwards enterprise software and Microsoft product suite (e.g. Excel, Power BI)
- Knowledge of and / or experience in the energy industry, specifically refined fuels and / or propane supply chains and supporting systems
- Experience with complex analysis and distilling information into simple reporting
