Website : This Central Scheduler opportunity is full time at 40 hours per week, offers full benefits and a convenient day shift schedule.

We are looking for a dynamic Central Scheduler. You will be responsible for accurately performing the pre-access functions for scheduled patients, which includes scheduling outpatient diagnostic procedures and completing the pre-registration and insurance verification processes.

Job Duties / Responsibilities : Interacts professionally with physicians, patients / family and others. Responds to inappropriate behavior in a therapeutic manner.

Obtains licensed nurse when family requests communication regarding patient’s condition, beyond the Schedule Coordinator’s scope of practice.

Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity. Handles delivery of mail daily to and from department. Schedules all surgeries, as called in to department by physicians or physician’s offices, per policy and procedure.
