Work Schedule : Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm; some evenings and weekends may be required. Summer Hours : Monday - Thursday, 7am-6pm

Job Summary : The Director provides leadership for all aspects of Financial Aid. The Director is responsible for directing, coordinating, supporting, supervising, and overseeing all aspects of the financial aid operation under the direction of the Dean of Enrollment Services.

Responsibilities include outreach, retention, compliance, efficiency, and supervision of all financial aid staff. The Director constantly monitors student service and ensures that continuous improvement occurs at all levels of the operation.

Essential Functions :

  • Leadership : Directs, coordinates, supports, supervises, and oversees all aspects of the financial aid operation. Responsible for outreach, retention, compliance, efficiency, and supervision of financial aid staff.
  • Compliance and Awarding : Plans, directs, and administers a coordinated district-wide financial assistance program; reviews applications, examines needs, resources, and ensures compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Supervision : Supervises financial aid staff; serves as a technical resource concerning financial aid programs and services.
  • Reporting : Program assessment and planning; tracking statistical data; compiling reports; managing operating budgets.
  • Liaison : Develops and maintains relationships with relevant agencies and represents GCC in professional organizations.

Minimum Qualifications : Master's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in education, business administration, public administration, or related field and four years of related experience including two years of management and supervisory experience.
