Job Title : CNC Programmer / Machinist

Pay : $25.00 - $33.00 per hour

Job Description : Are you an experienced CNC Lathe Programmer looking for a new opportunity? We are seeking a talented individual to join our team.
In this leadership role, you will be responsible for generating programs ensuring efficient operations and meeting production plans and quality standards.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Read and interpret prints and solid models.
- Use CAD / CAM packages to generate CNC code for punches and brakes from solid models.
- Fusion 360
- 3 Axis
- Optimize setup and punching / bending times through process improvements.
- Manage, maintain, and deploy tooling when developing programs.
- Generate setup sheets and provide feedback for process improvement.
- Write programs for new products while ensuring compliance with quality policies and specifications.
- Ensure timely completion of input and output department files.
- Recommend improvements to reduce production costs while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Program, organize, log, update, and maintain new and existing part files to the latest revision level.
Required Skills / Abilities :
- Proficiency in Solid Works and Solid Works PDM.
- Knowledge of punch and break tooling.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- Strong mathematical skills including shop math, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot machining issues.
- Knowledge of quality standards such as ISO9001.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with employees in other departments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written directions.
Education and Experience :
- 5-10 years of sheet metal experience required.
- Preferably 3 years of operating a turret punch press.
- Preferably 2-5 years of experience in programming Fusion 360 or Mastercam software.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Engineering degree is a plus.
