Job Description

Responsibilities :

  • Project Oversight :
  • Supervise day-to-day operations on the construction site.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Team Management :
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, tradespeople, and construction workers.
  • Resolve conflicts and address issues among team members and subcontractors.
  • Safety and Compliance :
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
  • Quality Control :
  • Monitor construction work to ensure it meets specifications and quality standards.
  • Inspect materials and workmanship regularly.
  • Scheduling and Planning :
  • Develop and manage construction schedules, including sequencing of tasks and resources.
  • Update project timelines and adjust schedules as necessary.
  • Budget Management :
  • Monitor project expenditures and manage costs to stay within budget.
  • Approve and track change orders and additional work requests.
  • Communication :
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the general contractor and clients, architects, and engineers.
  • Provide regular updates on project progress and address any concerns.
  • Documentation and Reporting :
  • Maintain accurate records of project progress, changes, and issues.
  • Prepare and submit reports on project status, delays, and other relevant information.
  • Problem Solving :
  • Address and resolve any issues or obstacles that arise during construction.
  • Make decisions to keep the project on track and mitigate risks.
  • Inspection and Coordination :
  • Coordinate with inspectors and ensure all necessary inspections are completed.
  • Oversee the final inspection and project closeout process.
  • Resource Management :
  • Ensure the availability of necessary materials, equipment, and tools.
  • Manage logistics for delivery and storage of materials.

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven Experience : Extensive background managing diverse commercial projects, including base buildings valued at $10M+.
  • Educational and Certification Credentials : Degree in Construction Management or related field, with relevant certifications (e.g., OSHA, PMP).
  • Technical Proficiency : Skilled in Procore and NewForma, with strong project management and scheduling abilities.
  • Leadership Skills : Effective at leading and managing project teams, resolving conflicts, and ensuring safety compliance.
  • Client Focused : Committed to client satisfaction, integrating feedback, and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability : Proactive in addressing issues and flexible in adapting to project changes.
