Key Responsibilities : Contribute to the development, modification, testing and validation of ns-3 models. Contribute to the design, configuration, operation, and analysis of network simulation experiments .

Participate in tests and analysis utilizing network simulation and emulation verification / validation models , ensuring robust and reliable network performance.

Participate in software reviews with colleagues. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, project management, and external stakeholders, to ensure project alignment with client needs and company goals.

Manage and maintain project documentation and system specifications, with detailed records of networking configurations and protocols.

Ensure compliance with government standards and regulations in all project aspects. Facilitate problem-solving and decision-making processes, addressing technical challenges related to network design and implementation, and providing viable networking solutions.

Participate in regular team meetings, contributing to strategic planning and project reviews. Must-Have Qualifications : Familiarization with ns-3 models and at least two years of experience in computer programming with exposure to network design / engineering emphasizing practical experience.

Bachelor’s or higher degree in computer science or electrical engineering , or equivalent proficiency. Proficiency in C and / or C++, Python , and systems programming principles.

Thorough understanding of software engineering projects from conception to completion, with a specific emphasis on network design, development, and implementation.

Thorough understanding of networking and congestion control protocols. Familiarity with and / or understanding of 4G / 5G architecture and models in ns-3 .

Familiarity with and / or understanding of RF propagation effects and various modeling techniques. Strong verbal and written communication skills , capable of effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers and clients, especially regarding network-related topics.

Proven decision-making and multitasking abilities, with a record of accomplishment of seeing projects through to completion.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work. Powered by JazzHR
