We’re searching for a Software Engineer to join Aurora’s Motion Planning Verification & Validation Team . The Behavioral V&V team is responsible for solving issues of requirement and test coverage, risk assessment.

In this role, you will

  • Develop tools and pipelines for monitoring test coverage on software releases
  • Implement and improve tools for risk assessment and test escape discovery
  • Build tooling for data mining and analysis
  • Perform data analysis to design offline simulation test sets to build confidence in system performance
  • Collaborate with senior team members on improving the tools, workflows and building simulation tests

Required Qualifications

  • BS / MS degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering
  • Strong proficiency in Python programming
  • Proficiency in C++ programming (highly preferred)
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable code and implement unit tests
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and follow guidance from senior engineers
  • Willingness to embrace new challenges and commit to achieving project goals
  • Willingness to learn things quickly

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in Robotics
  • Familiarity with databases & ETL pipelines
  • Familiarity with data visualization
  • Familiarity with V&V processes
  • Familiarity with Object Oriented Programming

The base salary range for this position is $130K-$195K per year. Aurora’s pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions.

These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
