Our team is hiring a highly motivated and organized Project Manager to help with security operations planning, administrative support, and customer communications & presentations supporting our 2024 US Elections customers and our Election Situation Room.
This work will support a nonpartisan team that coordinates support for organizations that underpin free and secure elections.
You will interact with customers such as political campaigns, election authorities, and elections technology vendors to help with project management, customer communication, work tracking, administrative scheduling tasks, security incident response planning, and business process optimization to ensure that elections-critical customer workloads are properly identified, tracked, and supported across the various security and support teams.
Primary Job Responsibilities :
Develop, document, and execute the logistics of our election situation room . This includes developing cybersecurity incident response plans, documenting customer support escalation paths, and writing Standard Operating Procedures.
Later on, this may also include Tier-1 triage of customer issues. 40% time
Direct contact with customers of varying size and IT maturity, presenting and explaining election security and cloud offerings 30% time
Project Manage, track, update, and generate status reports & project metrics for our elections workstreams 10% time
Administrative coordination, scheduling, and logistics to facilitate customer conversations and internal meetings 20% time
Skills :
Highly self-motivated, able to complete tasks on-time without continuous oversight, and able to seek out new tasks once assigned work is completed.
Strong external communications skills, professional email writing style, and the ability to effectively present directly to customers, VIPs, and executives.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a detail-oriented focus on logistics, tracking, and scheduling.
The ability to clearly document workflows, create guides, articulate dynamic plans, and draft operational documents.
Candidates should be comfortable with and respectful of the confidential nature of cybersecurity issues
Working knowledge of collaboration and productivity tools, such as Teams, Sharepoint, Word / Excel / PowerPoint, Outlook for emailing and calendaring, and Windows 11
The ability to remain politically neutral and nonpartisan while working, as this role will equally support elections organizations and bipartisan political organizations
Experience :
Experience working with US elections and state & local governments is strongly preferred
Experience in the field of cybersecurity
Experience developing written procedures
Customer-facing experience and comfort giving presentations and explaining products, services and offerings
Bachelors degree or higher
4-6+ years of relevant experience working in operations roles with passion for developing effective processes, ideally in an elections or campaigns context.
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $46.68 to $51.87 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
