Data Entry Coordinator

The Data Entry Coordinator will perform a variety of coordinating, checking, verifying, inputting, recording, and filing duties primarily related to the receipt and inspection of scrap materials arriving at the mill by truck.

The main responsibility of this position is to properly inspect and verify scrap grade and order number.

Pay Rate : $18 / hr

Schedule : Monday Friday

Location : Beaumont, TX

Duties :

• Weighmaster and Coordination : Accurately weigh incoming and outgoing trucks using electronic scales, coordinate unloading, and resolve discrepancies between bill of lading and scrap load.
• Ticket Processing and Handling : Issue weight tickets to drivers, verify scrap tickets post-unloading, and enter scrap details into the receiving system.
• Consultation and Inspection : Consult with scrap representatives and suppliers on purchase orders, visually inspect scrap for compliance, and refer questionable cases to the Scrap Inspector.
• Reporting and Inventory Management : Provide daily scrap activity reports to purchasing and accounting personnel, compile and record scrap inventory information, and monitor supply levels.
• Safety and Additional Duties : Notify supervisor of trucks with explosive or radioactive materials, and perform additional tasks such as filing and sorting during slow periods.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to operate electronic scales and perform accurate weight calculations.
• Experience in data entry and record-keeping.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with yard and melt shop personnel
