Description : As a per diem, nonexempt, CPS Solutions, LLC Technician you will assist in various pharmacy activities, under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, and other duties not requiring the review of a pharmacist.

The majority of tasks and responsibilities are related to preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications. Other duties include maintaining patient records, and setting up, packaging, and labeling of medication doses and billing.

You will perform job duties under minimal supervision within pharmacy standards, written procedures and guidelines, and state regulatory requirements.

Schedule : There are no regularly scheduled shifts, this position will work "as needed" up to 19 hours per week.

About the Facility : River Oaks Hospital, located in the suburbs of New Orleans, Louisiana is a private psychiatric facility.

For the past 40 years River Oaks has established a tradition of excellence in the treatment of acute psychiatric illness, dual diagnosis, alcohol and drug detoxification, trauma based disorders, compulsive behaviors, and eating disorders.

Situated on a 14 acre campus, services are available for all ages (children, adolescents, adults, seniors) and at all levels of care (inpatient, day or partial hospitalization, outpatient, and intensive outpatient).

The New Orleans Institute specialized services for the treatment of trauma and compulsive behaviors. The Eating Disorders Treatment Center offers a comprehensive program for male and female adolescents and adults with anorexia, bulimia and related eating disorders.

Both the New Orleans Institute and the Eating Disorders Treatment Center are nationally recognized for their excellence.

Both programs are referred patients from around the United States and are acknowledged as leading centers in their fields.

This pharmacy is open Monday-Friday from 7am-3 : 30 pm and weekends from 7am-Noon. CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day to day operations of the pharmacy.

Required Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or GED
• Recent experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy
• Current Louisiana pharmacy technician registration in good standing
• Proficient computer skills including experience using Microsoft Office
• Effective communication skills : verbal and written

Hospital Requirements :

PPD) TB Skin Test or proof of a TB skin test within the last 12 months

MMR) Measles, Mumps and Rubella or a blood titer proving immunity

• Varicella - (2) documented doses or a blood titer proving immunity
• Hep B3 Series (or declination)

Flu) Influenza - required for hire between Oct 1st and April 30th
