Automotive Technician Apprentice

Job Title : Automotive Tire Technician / Junior Automotive Technician

Location : A&B Import Auto

Reports to : Shop Foreman

Job Summary :

A&B Import Auto is looking for a motivated Automotive Tire Technician / Junior Automotive Technician to join our growing team.

This role involves mounting and balancing tires, performing courtesy inspections, assisting with minor repairs, and maintaining a clean and organized shop environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to gain hands-on experience in the automotive industry while learning from experienced professionals.

Key Responsibilities :

• Mount and balance tires on various vehicle makes and models.
• Perform tire rotations, repairs, and replacements as needed.
• Conduct courtesy inspections of customer vehicles as dictated by A&B Import Auto's inspection procedure.
• Assist technicians with minor repairs such as oil changes, filter replacements, and basic maintenance tasks.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including sweeping the shop area and disposing of waste materials.
• Use proper tools and equipment to ensure accurate and efficient tire service and vehicle maintenance.
• Report any vehicle or equipment issues to the Shop Foreman.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.

Qualifications :

• Previous experience in tire mounting, balancing, or basic automotive maintenance is preferred, but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
• Basic understanding of vehicle systems and mechanical skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on your feet for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Compensation :

• Hourly wage range from $16-$21
• Overtime available each week
