Select is NOW HIRING for an Inventory Control Coordinator for a distribution company in Gilroy CA.
Schedule : Monday to Friday 10am to 6 : 30pm with rotational Saturday
Payrate : $21 an hour
Job Summary : Compiles and maintains records of quantity, type, and value of material, property, equipment, merchandise, or supplies.
Counts material, property, equipment, merchandise, or supplies and posts totals to inventory / property records. Verifies record computations against physical count of inventory and adjusts errors in computation or count or investigates and reports reasons for discrepancies.
Responsible for checking in Delivery Drivers, inspecting all returning trailers, verifying returned goods and damaged products and re-entering goods into inventory.
This position handles all matters relating to inventory control, checking quality of designated product, taking daily inventory on produce and product spoiled.
Inventory Control Coordinator Primary Tasks :
- Perform assigned duties efficiency such that it reduces spoilage and contributes positively to profit margin.
- Check quality of produce and ensure poor quality product is removed before a customer can purchase. Keep inventory up on a daily basis.
- Sort through pallets of bad products.
- Repack produce in the most timely and efficient manner as to reduce spoilage and lost inventory. Performs other related duties as assigned.
Inventory Control Coordinator Requirements :
- High School Diploma / GED or Equivalent
- Experience Accounting, accounting admin support or related area Accounting, accounting admin support or related area
- Preferred experience with stand-up forklift and powered pallet jack.
- Bending, Twisting, Kneeling, reaching (above shoulder level), Standing
- Lifting, Pushing, Pulling, Carrying, in a Dry, Cooler or Freezer warehouse environment 20lbs
- Steel - Toe Shoes / Boots required
