Position Summary The New Student Programs Social Media & Marketing Student Coordinator manages projects to market the Office of New Student Programs by planning and implementing digital marketing engagement activities.
The Student Coordinator works with New Student Programs Mentors and New Student Programs Student Assistants to better serve students and other members of the UIW community.
The Office of New Student Programs provides a customer-friendly environment to all students and visitors to the office and the New Student and Commuter Student Lounge.
Current UIW student approved and eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study program. Essential Functions Social Media :
- Increase social media followers, engage prospective and new students, and create marketing flyers / posters promoting events and processes.
- Plans and implements digital marketing content strategies across social media channels (TikTok, Facebook, Instagram, SnapChat, YouTube).
- Works with the Director of New Student Programs in developing a social media content calendar based on goals, events, and messages.
- Creates social media campaigns for all social media channels.
- Collaborates with students to create student centered content and social posts.
Event Promotion :
- Ability to compile content for flyers, student processes, website, and Canvas.
- Coordinate marketing campaigns for events, student processes, and other student engagement opportunities.
- Collaborates with New Student Programs Student Assistant to compile on and off campus events information to promote to new students.
Marketing Cardinal Experience Content :
- Records event experiences to generate marketing moments for future promotional items.
- Assist the Director of New Student Programs with creating video content for CANVAS learning space and website.
Qualifications Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Ability to be organized and finish projects.
- Ability to create social media content such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube).
- Ability to learn specific and different policy and procedures associated with the Office of New Student Programs.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Canva.
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
- Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA.
Required Education
- 2.50 GPA requirement.
- UIW student approved and eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study program.
Required Work Experience N / A. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of social media platforms. Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations None. Work Hours
- Schedule assigned will be in the time frame of Monday Friday 8am-5pm.
- Some early mornings, evenings and weekends required for specific projects / events during the year.
Physical Demands This position requires light lifting and the ability to navigate campus.
