WANTED : A Sr. Research Analyst for Aerospace . This position requires someone with a PhD in Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related subject, 10 years of experience and a Top Secret clearance (SCI eligible).

This position is in College Park, MD.

A week in the life of a Sr. Research Analyst for Aerospace :

  • Candidate will support the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, specifically in the Maintaining Technology Advantage Branch.
  • Will maintain subject matter expertise in hypersonic and space technology, providing SME support to analysts in the development of critical time-sensitive products.
  • Will support development of strategic products, like technology area protection plans, for hypersonic and space technologies.
  • Will work with a team of other SMEs and analysts to meet short deadlines and deliver quality products.
  • Evaluate protection strategies to defend US investments from foreign attempts at technology transfer.

Job Requirements

  • PhD in Physics, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related subject
  • 10+ Years of professional experience
  • Top Secret Clearance with SCI-Eligibility
  • Experience with Missile Technology, hypersonic and / or space technology

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $185,000 - $200,000.

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
